Training for the Corporate Sector
Channel Research offers diverse training for the corporate sector as a tool to make sure firms have the right strategies, skills and processes in place to deal with social issues, which may include the development of standard operating procedures, resettlement action plans, grievance management tools, information management, among others.
Our diverse training aim is to engage senior management and onsite personnel on the importance of managing social risks and provide useful tools that can be deployed in the future.
Our Training offer:
- Strategic training on the potential risks and opportunities with a focus for management, board of directors and ministry of mining representatives.
- Methodology and implementation of applications training for field staff and SD professionals.
Objectives:
- Highlight social risks and opportunities
- Manage community relations following four steps:
- Understanding (key tools for stakeholder mapping and conflict mapping
- Engaging (community outreach project design)
- The importance of grievance procedures
- Monitoring and evaluating (tools to be proactive)
- Community relations according to mine project cycle (exploration, permitting, exploitation, closure)
- Allocating appropriate resources (human and financial)
- Set relevant performance indicators adapted to business and community requirements
